Integrative Counsellor & Psychotherapist
I hold a PGDip in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of East London,
where I trained within the Place2Be framework, a Royal Charter recognised
organisation dedicated to advancing the emotional wellbeing of children and young
people.
This grounding in creativity, relational depth, and collaborative growth
continues to shape how I meet clients. In my adult work, these foundations sit
alongside psychodynamic principles, underpinning the way I listen, attune, and
support exploration of the inner world and the patterns that shape emotional life.
My early professional life as a teacher and mental health advisor in therapeutic
educational settings across the US and the UK brought me into relationship with
richly diverse and intersectional communities. That work has given me a steady,
grounded way of meeting complexity — with cultural humility, curiosity, and deep
respect for each person’s lived story.
I offer a grounded, confidential space where adults and young people alike can feel
met and supported as they begin to understand their inner experience in a way that
feels safe and manageable. My practice is integrative, creative, and psychosomatic,
recognising that the body often expresses emotional experience before words are
available. Alongside talking therapy, I encourage the use of creativity or play to help
explore feelings that may be difficult to express in words.
I work from a trauma informed and neurodiversity affirming stance, paying close
attention to how lived experience, nervous system patterns, and identity shape an
individuals presentation and needs. This supports me to meet each person with
curiosity rather than assumption, and to respond with attunement, flexibility, and
respect for the strategies that have helped them navigate their world so far.
Sessions are tailored to each individual. I work in a clientled way, giving each person
autonomy and agency to direct the pace and flow of the session whilst being met in
steady, relational attunement. I place strong emphasis on building a trusting
therapeutic relationship, grounded in the BACP Ethical Framework, as I believe this
is the foundation for meaningful and effective work. I offer a respectful, collaborative,
and culturally attuned space for both young people and adults to explore, heal, and
grow.
